What is Board.lk?
Board.lk is a Sri Lankan business directory that helps people find local businesses across the island. From restaurants to tea exporters, gem traders to IT firms, you can search by category and city.
Is Board.lk free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, searching, and viewing contact details is completely free. Business owners can also create a basic listing at no cost. Featured and Premium upgrades are optional.
How do I add my business?
Create a free account, click "Add business" in your dashboard, and follow the 6-step form. Once submitted, our team reviews your listing (usually within 24 hours) before it goes live.
Why does my listing say "Pending"?
All new submissions are reviewed manually to keep Board.lk free of spam and incorrect information. Approval typically takes 12–24 hours during business days.
Can I list a business outside Sri Lanka?
No. Board.lk is a single-country directory focused exclusively on Sri Lanka. This lets us go deep instead of wide — every listing is verified for the Sri Lankan market.
How do I edit my business listing?
Log in, open your dashboard, and click "My Businesses". Select the listing you want to edit and click "Edit". Changes are usually reflected immediately; major changes may require re-approval.
What is the difference between Featured and Premium?
Featured listings (Rs. 9,900/month) get a Featured badge and priority placement. Premium listings (Rs. 24,900/month) additionally get a Verified badge, top-of-search placement, more photos, and analytics access.
How do I claim an existing business listing?
Find the business page and click "Claim this business". Provide proof that you own or manage it (business registration, utility bill, etc.). Our team reviews claims within 1–2 business days.
How do I report a problem with a listing?
Every business page has a "Report" link. Select the reason (spam, wrong info, closed, offensive, duplicate, other) and add details. We investigate all reports.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We use HTTPS everywhere, hash passwords with bcrypt, and never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do you offer refunds on paid plans?
Paid plans can be cancelled anytime; the listing stays active until the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are offered if a billing error occurs on our side. See Terms for details.
